Frankfort, KY
Hearn Elementary School is a new school located in Frankfort, KY. R&R was awarded the mechanical contract in June of 2007 with the required completion date by June 2008. The work consisted of a geothermal heat pump system with energy recovery outdoor air units. Specifically, (56) Climate Master Heat Pumps, (2) Desert Air Recovery Units, and a well field consisting of (300) Bores were placed in operation prior to the completion date. In addition to the HVAC work, the contractor installed a fully functional Plumbing system, which consisted of (38) classroom sinks, (8) gang bathrooms, and a fully furnished kitchen.
Spencer Co, KY
Spencer County High School consisted of a complete renovation and addition to the existing school. The scope of work consisted of the installation (50) Heat Pumps, (2) Gym Air Handlers, and (4) Roof Top Energy Recovery Units all supported by a fully operational variable speed pumping system utilizing a cooling tower and boiler for heat exchange. In addition, a Plumbing system serving a new kitchen, science classrooms, and restrooms was completed. The project was completed in various phases over a seventeen-month period, in order to allow the school to operate without interruption.
Frankfort, KY
The Kentucky State Office building project consisted of a tenant fit-up for eleven floors suitable to provide office space for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The work involved furnishing and installing (336) Variable Volume Air Boxes complete with hot water re-heat piping and (500) Radiant perimeter ceiling panels. In addition, the project consisted of the installation of over (2000) grilles, registers, and diffusers, connected by low and medium ductwork systems. The project was completed within 12 months.
Louisville, KY
The project consisted of the South Wing “C” addition at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. The work consisted of furnishing and installing (6), 22,000 CFM built up air handling units assembled in place. In addition, over 75,000 lbs. of spiral duct and fittings serving over (500) grilles, registers and diffusers were installed. The massive exhibit hall space with twenty-eight high ceiling was supported with various meeting rooms and concourse spaces.
Louisville, KY
The project consisted of the Donald Baxter Research Center constructed for the University of Louisville. The multimillion-dollar contract involved the installation of HVAC and Plumbing systems to serve the five-story research facility. Specifically, a Phoenix supply and exhaust system serving (50) fume hoods; Built up Air Handlers providing fresh air utilizing steam and chilled water for heat exchange was provided and installed. In addition, the Plumbing system included medical gas and acid waste piping to serve the science center.
